SUMMARY:Australian National Archaeology Student Conference (NASC) 2026
DESCRIPTION:The National Archaeology Student Conference will be proudly hosted by The University of Queensland (UQ) between 30 September and 2 October 2026. This three-day\, student-led gathering will be held both in person on UQ’s St Lucia campus and online\, bringing together undergraduates\, honours candidates\, postgraduates\, and early-career researchers from across Australia. \nAt NASC\, you’ll have the chance to showcase your research in archaeology or ancient history through dynamic presentations and poster exhibitions in a welcoming environment. You’ll exchange ideas with fellow students and build connections with leaders from academia\, heritage consultancies\, museum professions\, and more. \nThis year\, there is a special focus on careers in archaeology. You’ll connect with industry experts and discover professional pathways at our in-person careers expo – all within a friendly\, collaborative atmosphere. \n\nCall for Abstracts \n\n\nAbstract submissions for NASC 2026 are now open and will close on the 30th of April 2026. Note that first authors/presenters\, whether doing a poster or presentation\, will need to register to attend the conference (which will go from the 30th of September to the 2nd of October 2026) by the 31st of July 2026. Please read the following information before preparing your submission. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to submit an abstract\, please email us at nascenquiries@gmail.com. \nAll applicants will be notified of their submissions outcome within two weeks of the closing date.  \nTo submit an abstract for consideration\, please fill out the Abstract Submission Form.
