Biography
Jaq is a Senior Heritage Consultant who has worked in the heritage industry since 2017. Initially working as an archaeology outreach educator with year 7 students, Jaq begun working in the consulting side of the industry in 2018 when she worked as a field archaeologist and research assistant for a number of Victorian based heritage companies. In 2020, Jaq joined the GHD Heritage team where she has continued to work within the Victorian heritage industry. During her time at GHD, she has also worked on multiple projects around Australia within the Commonwealth heritage space. Her personal interests lie within historic heritage sites associated with diseases, and also how we can use new technologies to look at heritage management considerations for sites. She has presented on this topic on several occasions at international conferences.

Consulting Experience
While working as a heritage consultant, Jaq's work has largely focused on undertaking heritage assessments for Aboriginal, historical (non-Aboriginal), and natural heritage sites at local, interstate and international levels. These assessments have mostly been under Victorian legislative requirements, and across several states and territories within the Commonwealth heritage space in under the EPBC Act. Over the past two years she has also begun to undertake assessments with underwater cultural heritage considerations.
