Birgitta has combined her careers as a pharmacist and archaeologist, to adapt and develop biochemical staining protocols specifically to identify archaeological residues which have lost their microscopic diagnostic properties (due to age and damage). As the Director of In the Groove Analysis Pty Ltd, Birgitta 's expertise is used by the consulting and research worlds of archaeology. Birgitta has an educational focus and delivers two way science programmes to indigenous schools, ranger groups and Traditional Owner communities.
