Biography
Dr Bianca Waldie has over 15 years’ experience as an archaeologist and cultural heritage consultant across Australia. Throughout her career Bianca has established a reputation for producing high quality, methodically researched reports and documentation, which are enhanced by a high level of Aboriginal, community and stakeholder engagement. Her skills and expertise include management of complex projects, negotiations with communities and stakeholders, and legislative and regulatory compliance. Her expertise in the cultural heritage field includes heritage identification and recording, surveys, excavation, salvages, landscape analysis, skeletal analysis, artefact analysis and isotope analysis. Bianca’s PhD focused on an investigation of diet and mobility from the bone chemistry of early populations. The project was part of an international and interdisciplinary research group that studied prehistoric human resource and landscape use in changing environments.
