Consulting Experience
Guadalupe, Partner and Senior Archaeologist at IHC, has 18 years’ experience working as a professional archaeologist and heritage consultant; she has extensive experience in directing both Aboriginal and historical projects and excavations throughout Australia and is a specialist in heritage management.
Guadalupe specialises in complex cultural landscape assessments, heritage management, and Aboriginal community, client and government liaison.
Guadalupe is highly skilled and experienced in project and team management. As IHC Partner , she has successfully directed many archaeological assessments of developments as well as managed heritage input for many infrastructure, transport, renewable energy, private and commercial projects.
Guadalupe has expertise in the preparation of heritage assessments, archaeological assessments, management strategies and research designs, heritage impact statements, heritage advice, community consultation, heritage survey, community consultation and management documents. She also has a thorough understanding of South Australian heritage and planning legislation, best practice guidelines, and their practical application for projects.
Guadalupe has research interests in South Australia’s early urban heritage, bioarchaeological analysis and working with Traditional Owners on the careful recovery and management of ancestral remains. She regularly presents at industry seminars and to the general public on her work and has authored a number of papers on these subjects.
