Consulting Experience
I have 29 years of professional experience as an independent principal consultant, specialising in the identification, assessment and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage sites.
The majority of my consulting work has been conducted on the NSW north and mid-north coasts and has involved predictive desktop studies, field surveys, test and detailed site excavations, salvage and management of a range of Aboriginal site types. Projects have varied from small-scale development and site-specific investigations and assessments, through to comprehensive regional heritage and management planning studies. The projects have involved consultation with a range of groups and individuals, including government and private agencies, local community organisations, and Aboriginal Land Councils, Corporations and Elders.
In addition to consultancy work, I have gained considerable experience through my participation in academic research projects within Australia and overseas.
