Consulting Experience
For nearly 20 years Karen has worked exclusively with and for Aboriginal People, both as a consultant and as a Manager within a Native Title Representative Body in Queensland. She has worked in both Queensland and more recently in Tasmania.
Karen currently works for Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) as the Cultural Heritage and Native Title Manager on North Stradbroke Island in Queensland, a Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for the Quandamooka Native Title Holders.
Karen has extensive experience in anthropological native title work, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management and the preparation of Management Plans, survey work and anthropological investigations and reports. She has developed high level negotiation skills while working on the behalf of Aboriginal people in Native Title, Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs), Land Rights and Land hand backs. Karen has completed over 60 archaeological and anthropological reports over the past 15 years.
