Some 24 years experience working as a cultural heritage consultant in Queensland. More than 15 years based at Northern Archaeology Consultancies Pty Ltd, Townsville. Now Director and Principal Archaeologist of North QLD Cultural Heritage Pty Ltd, Townsville.

Extensive experience in EIS-related cultural heritage assessments, specialising in indigenous archaeology and cultural heritage management in Northern Queensland.

Over 500 cultural heritage assessment reports and/or contracts for Government and corporate clients, private developers, Aboriginal communities/corporations, mining companies, etc.

Extensive experience in undertaking archaeological surveys, site recording and significance assessments (including coastal, tropical, temperate and semi-arid environments).

Experience in compilation of Cultural Heritage Management Plans.

Extensive experience in undertaking consultation with Aboriginal Traditional Owner groups, corporations and land councils.

Research interests in tropical coastal archaeology. Special interest in Late Holocene Aboriginal adaptations to the coast and offshore islands in North Queensland, and the impacts of tropical cyclones on the archaeological record in northern Australia.
