Consulting Experience
Mary Dallas is MDCA founding and Principal Heritage Consultant, and specialises in Aboriginal archaeology and cultural resource management and planning. She has over 40 years of experience in the full range of cultural heritage assessment procedures including Review of Environmental Factors [REF], for Local and Regional Environmental Plans [LEP, REP] and Local Environmental Studies [LES] and Aboriginal Heritage Impact Assessments and Conservation Management Plans [CMP], as well as considerable experience in legal matters concerning heritage protection and development assessments. Mary has a broad range of experience in the archaeology of NSW as well as specialist knowledge and management expertise in the fields of Aboriginal Art and material culture. She has developed planning and site management strategies and guidelines for local government authorities throughout NSW. Mary also specialises in cultural heritage interpretation and site conservation planning working collaboratively with Aboriginal communities throughout NSW. Mary is a member of the Australian Rock Art Association, Australian Society of Historical Archaeology and is a founding member and past President of the Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists Inc.
