Oona is a Principal Heritage Consultant and Director with Ecology Partners Pty Ltd. Prior to joining Ecology Partners, Oona worked for Environmental Resources Management, Biosis Research and du Cros and Associates and participated in a number of excavations of historical sites, including the Elizabeth Symons Nursing Home in Innamincka (SA), Viewbank Homestead (VIC), the National Hotel in Gisborne South (VIC) and the Poonindie Aboriginal Mission (SA). She has also worked in maritime archaeology whilst employed with the Maritime Unit of the State Heritage Branch of South Australia.

Since 1998, Oona has worked as a full time consultant surveying for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal historical sites throughout New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Consultation with Aboriginal communities is an integral part of Oona's work. As well as being an experienced excavator of both historical and Aboriginal sites, Oona has an interest in managing projects of an interdisciplinary nature incorporating the work of historians, conservation architects, flora and fauna specialists and heritage engineers.
