Consulting Experience
Petra has recently established and manages, ochre imprints - a heritage consulting business specialising in providing Aboriginal and historical archaeological advice to private and public sector clients. She brings with her over 10 years of experience in the heritage consulting industry, most recently as the Senior Project Manager – Aboriginal Heritage at Andrew Long & Associates. Over this time, Petra has managed and carried out cultural heritage assessments and management plans for government agencies (e.g. NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Aboriginal Affairs Victoria, Parks Victoria, Department of Primary Industries, Water & Environment - Tasmania, Forestry Victoria) and private sector clients (e.g. Loy Yang Power Management; Maunsell Australia P/L, Enesar Consulting, Iluka Resources Limited).
This experience has provided Petra with extensive skills in the areas of project management, coordination of staff and sub-consultants, liaising with clients, consultation with Aboriginal communities, developing survey strategies based on client requirements and local conditions, undertaking background research, desktop assessments, predictive modelling, surveys, site recording, management of survey teams and fulfilling reporting requirements to a high standard.
While she has predominantly worked in Victoria, Petra has also undertaken numerous cultural heritage assessments in Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
