Consulting Experience
Phil Czerwinski is the Director, anthropologist and principal archaeologist of Heritage WA Pty Ltd, a Perth-based Aboriginal cultural heritage firm with capacity in anthropology, archaeology and GIS services.
He is the Chairperson of the WA Branch of the Association of Consulting Archaeologists Inc. (AACAI), the peek body for consultant archaeologists in Australia.
Phil has been involved in Aboriginal heritage surveys and research for over 15 years since completing his BA (Hons) in Aboriginal archaeology in 1997. He also has a Graduate Certificate in Applied Anthropology to the University of Western Australia.
Phil has worked as a Regional Archaeologist for the South Australian Department for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation in Port Augusta, SA, as a consultant archaeologist for Australian Cultural Heritage Management, as a Senior Advisor in the Aboriginal Relations Branch of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources in British Columbia, Canada, and as Lead Archaeologist for Citic Pacific Mining, Cape Preston WA.
