Rani has postgraduate qualifications in archaeology from Flinders University and five years' of professional cultural heritage management experience.
Rani has conducted fieldwork throughout Victoria (VIC), New South Wales (NSW), the Gold Coast , North West and Far North Queensland (QLD). She has worked on a variety of diverse projects, from pedestrian survey assessments in remote QLD and NSW, to excavations on large-scale VIC and NSW infrastructure projects and developed her skills in manual archaeological excavation, pedestrian survey, site identification and registration, predictive modelling, community and client consultation and archaeological reporting.
Rani has authored over 40 high level cultural heritage assessment reports in NSW, VIC and QLD, and successfully approved Cultural Heritage Management Plans in VIC. Previously, she has worked for Jacobs (Group) Australia (previously Sinclair Knight Merz), and the Office of Environment and Heritage, NSW.
